Our basic service includes an inspection, cleaning and lubrication of the main drive bearing, belt check (if applicable), lubrication of the upper motor bearing, and a check and adjustment of the cartridge aligment, anti skate and stylus pressure. Generally this is all that is required for turntables that are being used reguarly but may have developed an issue. Any parts that may be required will be quoted prior to being ordered.

Our comprehensive service offers everything in a basic service but also includes a full clean and removal of old grease from the mechanism, application of new synthetic grease, complete removal and cleaning of the motor bearings, relubrication of the motor bearings, inspection of the motor mounts and a speed check and adjustment. For idler wheel driven record players, we also inspect and service the tyre. Any parts that may be required will be quoted prior to being ordered.

Do you have a scratched or marked lid? We re-polish original press moulded factory lids and can remove most scratches. Please note that deep gouges and burn marks cannot be removed entirely and cracked, broken or UV damaged lids are unable to be repaired. If your lid isn't a candidate for polishing then we can order replacement lids through local Tasmanian suppliers if desired in clear, light grey and dark grey (near black).

We get it, you love your vintage turntable but it has cracked or damaged audio leads. Easy fix! We can replace either the plug ends or the entire cable. We use high quality parts or can use leads that are supplied. We also upgrade RCA leads if desired!

At Tazzie Turntables, we can also replace your cartridge, stylus or both! You can either supply your own or we can order for you. Replacement includes an alignment and adjustment of course!

There's nothing better than a turntable with an original wood veneer plinth (base), but they can get a bit tired with age or perhaps its been stored poorly over the years. We can fully restore your plinth and have it back to looking its best in no time!
